(Nagano
alleges that he's "eternally 20 years old" because he's a
"Highlander"... ^_^;)
The
lyricist, arranger, and keyboardist for the group. The last
designation is rather arbitrary since TWO-MIX doesn't do live
performances. He is also the president of "Little-Station",
TWO-MIX's current artist management agency.
Nagano
began his career as a lyricist with the song "Keep On
'Keeping On'" which was recorded by Mariko Nagai and
later on again by Midori Karashima, both well-known contemporary
female singer-songwriters in Japan. He would then go on to
write more lyrics for Nagai, along with some songs for Megumi
Hayashibara's mini-album "Pulse".
Although
he never set out with the initial intent to become a lyricist,
Nagano states that he spent the years after graduating from
high school keeping a diary of his daily life. This experience
apparently helped him gain strength as a writer, and the writer
of the group he is. Nagano has always done the bulk of the
writing projects for TWO-MIX, such as liner notes, and he
has also written several small articles for various magazines.
